The Episcopal Church in the United States (ECUSA) is an open, welcoming, inclusive denomination of the Christian Church that believes ALL PEOPLE are welcome at their Eucharistic table. Episcopalians have heard heartbreaking stories from lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) individuals who have been condemned by society, rejected by friends and families, and shunned by their churches.
St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Yakima, Washington is hosting a two part weekend workshop on July 23rd and 24th. During the July 23rd morning session The Rev. Justin Cannon will present “THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE” addressing homosexuality, scripture, and the church. During the afternoon meeting he will explore Ecospirituality and the ministry of “Holy Hikes,” including a Eucharistic hike in a local park. Sunday, July 24th, Rev. Cannon, will preach and preside at the 9 AM Holy Eucharist. A festive dinner will follow the service.
