To learn more about the Rev. Cannon, visit www.inclusiveorthodoxy.org
Workshop 1: The Truth Will Set You Free: The Bible, Christianity, & Homosexuality
The Rev. Justin R. Cannon, author of The Bible, Christianity, & Homosexuality, will lead a workshop exploring what the Bible *really* says about homosexuality addressing scriptures that are often misused to condemn the Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender (LGBT) community. He will also teach on bible verses that actually stand in support of diversity, as well as explore through a Q&A time how churches can be welcoming and inclusive of LGBT people. All are welcome to come—the churched and un-churched and those who are questioning. More info can be found online at www.InclusiveOrthodoxy.org.
Workshop 2: Exploring Eco-Theology and Holy Hikes™
The Rev. Justin R. Cannon, founder of Holy Hikes™, will lead a workshop in which he will speak on eco-theology and rebuilding communion with all of God’s Creation. In this workshop he will show a micro-documentary on Holy Hikes, a movement of outdoor worshiping communities with chapters in California, New York, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Vermont, California, and more sprouting forth. After the workshop he will lead a liturgical hike at Sportsman’s State Park. More info can be found online at www.holyhikes.org.

Saturday, April 23rd, Get ready for the SW Spring Regional Gathering Day!
We gathered on Saturday April 23, 2016, 9:30a-3:30p at All Saints Episcopal Church in Richland: 1322 Kimball Ave., Richland.
The Regional Development Team enjoyed gathering with members and hearing stories of ministry since we last met. We’re were pleased to share and network with you and others in the region as part of the ongoing leadership development in this diocese.
This year’s Gathering Days explored: our call to follow Christ; looking at where Christ is inviting us to go; how Christ is inviting us to grow; and what we need to do in order to fully embrace Christ’s words to us. In addition, the Transition’s Committee for the Bishop’s Transition will be soliciting and giving information about the ongoing transition.
Sunday, April 23rd was our Annual Bishop’s Visitation
We welcomed our Bishop, the Right Reverend James E. Waggoner, Jr. at our 8:00 a.m. service and our 10:00 a.m. Bilingual service. We shared Holy Eucharist together and renewed our Baptismal Vows. After each service we had a special coffee hour and time for visiting with our Bishop.
